Jesus: The Radiance of God's Glory
Jesus is the ultimate expression of God. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End (Revelation 22). In His essence, Jesus perfectly reflects God's glory and actively sustains all things through the power of His word. This is the same Word that was with God in the beginning (John 1) and became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14).
Jesus triumphantly reigns at the right hand of God in heaven, affirming His ultimate authority and the completion of His redemptive work on the cross. Through Him, we now have full and unrestricted access to God, and most importantly, we have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14)
As I sat in awe of how Jesus, the radiance of God's glory, has revealed Himself to us, I couldn't help but reflect on the immense greatness of God. His grace in sending Jesus, the perfect image-bearer of who He is, to dwell among His people is a testament to His divine purpose and love. It is truly a gift to witness the fulfillment of God's plan. I am so grateful that God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Jesus (Colossians 1:19).
We are made in God's image, and through the new covenant established by Jesus, the Holy Spirit dwells within us, empowering us to behold God's glory and live according to His will, reflecting His light and love. This can only be achieved when we acknowledge in our hearts that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, affirming that He is 'better' than anything we could ever dream or hope for.
For anyone who is struggling to accept God's love today, I pray you will know that God is good and wants you to experience Him in a new way. He has poured Himself out and shown us who He is. He is not too far away or inaccessible. You can receive Him and know that He is among you, showering you with his unconditional love. I pray that you come to know the one and only true God, Yahweh, and understand how Jesus is better in every way.
Prayer:
God, teach us to know that You reside with us in every season, circumstance, and situation. You are always present. Your Word says that You are actively sustaining us and the world around us with Your powerful Word. We declare that You are the upholder of our lives. Would You continue to shine Your light on us so that we may experience the fullness of Your love for us through Jesus, who triumphed over sin and reigns with ultimate authority. I pray that as we trust in You, Your abundant goodness will remind us that You are always with us. You know us and care about our needs and desires, so help us to sit in Your presence and always be in awe of who You are and what You have done.
