Psalm 51
Why do we do evil when good is all around
We run back to You, because You are an unfailing God
We don’t deserve a perfect and holy One
Yet You give us the ability to pray to you
So that you may be glorified through praise which enhances worship
Angels worship a holy God
The only Savior of Israel
Have mercy on us God
For we know that the things we indulge are not pleasing in the sight of you
We are thankful for second chances
Your love gives us a second chance
We get an inch and take a mile
With blessings, they become lessons or less of what we started with
Because we partake in sinful things
That hold us bound in chains
We have to surrender
But humble us
Cleanse us of hyssop and we will be clean
Against You, you only have we sinned
So why do we do evil when good is all around?
Because we have not delighted in You
How can we experience grace if we don’t see it, they say
You say, walk by faith and not by sight
Deliver us from our guilt of bloodshed
Oh God, we offer a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart
You God will not despise
We pray mercy
Mercy on us
For we live in a nation of complainers and a society of addicts
