Hello Guys,
I am so excited to be back here with you. What a joy it has been over the last year getting to share God’s word, listen to your testimonies of healing and freedom, and dive deep into authentic worship, Bible study, and fellowship.
This new chapter begins now, with even more wisdom and knowledge from God, and I would love to invite you on another ride along.
If Bold Freedom Ministries has blessed you in any way, please feel free to continue to share the devotionals and lessons each week with someone you know. It would mean a lot to both me and them that you care enough to spread God’s Word!

This past month, I have been struck with so much change. From resigning from my job, marketing my first self-published book, gradually approaching graduation, and maneuvering through the motions of rest, I have heard the word fear come up a lot. I have also seen and experienced my own effects of fear with the new changes in my life and from those around me.
Yet here we are together, to understand what God has to say about fear and why we can trust that He will take care of us. So let’s dive in. The word fear appears over 300 times throughout the Bible. Depending on which translation you have, it is a recurring theme that has been present since the beginning of the book. The Bible opens with these words in Genesis 3:10: “He said, ‘I heard the sound of You [walking] in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.’” (AMP)
God’s design for us was to feel secure, trust Him, be embraced with His presence, and most of all, love when we feel and see Him near. However, this was not the case when sin entered the world. After the fall, the ill effects of sin came in.
Yet God reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7 that He did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. So when we are feeling scared, weak, and full of doubt to the point of running away, we can rest assured that this feeling did not come from God.
God is there to help us, comfort us, rescue us, and satisfy our every desire if we choose to trust Him.
I remember this viral sound I heard a few years back that kept echoing in my mind when things got hard. It went something like: “No one is coming to save you.”
Well, this isn’t the case with God. He does come, He does save, and He provides us with hope to keep going.
If you can hold on in faith, God says in His Word that joy does come in the morning (Psalm 30:5). If you are feeling fearful about a decision, situation, or current uneasiness, know that you can lean on God. Remember, before the fall, our first response was trusting God; our second was retreating. Shift your mindset this week to believe that you can overcome because Jesus has overcome it all for you.
Prayer:
God, thank you for everyone who has decided to give their life to You. As they trust in You today, remind them that there is nothing to fear in Christ. You are a God of love, power, and a sound mind. You are all shelter and refuge; You are the place we reside. You are peace, and when anxiety arises, You are our comfort. Help us today to keep our eyes on You, for You care for us and love us dearly. In Jesus’ Name!
